Senior Human Resources Generalist

Location: Onsite at the Irvine, California office, United States

Salary: $88,000–$108,000 annually, plus benefits and eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus

What you will do

• Support HR Business Partners and advise employees and managers on policies, procedures, and day-to-day HR matters.
• Independently manage employee relations cases, including investigations, performance concerns, corrective actions, accommodations, separations, unemployment claims, and workers’ compensation cases.
• Coach managers on performance management, feedback, documentation, and policy application.
• Execute onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, organizational updates, and compensation-related lifecycle changes.
• Partner with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and other functions to deliver compliant HR operations.
• Track HR trends and metrics, support audits and records maintenance, and lead process improvements and HR projects.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of progressive human resources experience.
• Strong employee relations experience, including independently managing investigations and workplace issues.
• Knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively with HR Business Partners and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong HRIS proficiency, including Workday or Oracle transactions, reporting, data audits, and workforce analytics support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; effective English communication and business writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Experience leading HR projects or process improvement initiatives.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
