Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $124,000–$176,000 USD per year

Develops the ES-30, a 30-passenger regional hybrid-electric aircraft with a 200 km electric zero-emission range and a 400 km extended hybrid range.

What you will do

• Design and optimize scalable manufacturing processes for aircraft structures, propulsion systems, avionics, batteries, and other critical subsystems.
• Develop custom tooling, fixtures, equipment, automation solutions, and ergonomic improvements for precision assembly and fabrication.
• Lead prototype and first-article builds and transition processes into low- and high-rate production.
• Identify production bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, and implement continuous improvements and in-line quality checks.
• Partner with design engineering, technicians, quality teams, suppliers, and supply chain partners on DFM/DFA, sourcing, outsourcing timelines, and budgets.
• Create work instructions, process documentation, SOPs, inspection criteria, and manufacturing standards while ensuring safety, regulatory, and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment; internship and co-op experience counts.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of materials, GD&T, machining, welding, composites, and/or assembly techniques.
• Experience collaborating across design, quality, and production teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, eVTOL, or electric propulsion manufacturing.
• Exposure to high-voltage systems, thermal management, or battery integration.
