Senior CNC Machinist - D Shift (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global Headquarters. D Shift runs Friday–Sunday, 3:30 p.m.–1:45 a.m., with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.

Base pay: $35–$50 USD per hour, depending on level, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe and mill machines to produce flight-ready hardware.
• Read and translate engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Work with CNC programmers to maintain required tolerances.
• Provide feedback on work instructions and suggest improvements to batch sizes, setups, and tool selection.
• Reduce quality and engineering non-conformances and track calibration and maintenance of equipment and tooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of CNC lathe and mill operation experience for the Senior level; the position may also be hired at CNC Machinist III level, requiring 5+ years.
• Experience with dual-spindle lathes with live tooling and mills involving 5th-axis turning.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, California, on the D Shift schedule.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8+ hour shift, work in tight or elevated spaces, perform repetitive motions, and handle equipment and materials up to 25 lb.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under ITAR regulations is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• CNC programming experience with NX Programming or manual programming.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience and 5-axis CNC setup experience.
• Experience with DMG Mori DMU 50, 85, 125, and NLX 2500–4000 machines.
• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Celos controls or bar feeders.
