Senior Applied AI / ML Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; relocation to NYC supported

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity and a performance-based bonus of up to 40%

What you will do

• Build production LLM systems that transform complex financial documents into clean, typed, and validated data.
• Design agentic workflows that retrieve and reason over fragmented enterprise systems, including production evaluation harnesses and guardrails.
• Develop demand-forecasting solutions across thousands of intermittent time series using statistical and gradient-boosted models.
• Prepare heterogeneous real-world data through baselining, anomaly detection, entity reconciliation, and ingestion.
• Own evaluation datasets, benchmarks, and monitoring for probabilistic systems without a single correct answer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of applied AI or ML experience with systems taken to production.
• Depth in at least one area and working fluency across time-series forecasting, LLM and agentic systems, or large-scale messy-data engineering.
• Experience building evaluation and monitoring systems while avoiding leakage and train/serve skew.
• Strong product sense and the ability to translate AI capabilities into practical outcomes.
• Master's degree in STEM.

Nice to have

• Experience with demand forecasting, time-series methods, Prophet, ARIMA-family models, or gradient boosting.
• Production experience with agentic workflows, RAG, or retrieval systems.
• Experience with document understanding or information extraction from unstructured sources.
• Startup experience or comfort working in fast-moving environments.
