Construction Manager III (Telecommunications)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; work is primarily performed in Alaska with travel to remote locations across the state. Remote work is eligible with restrictions.

What you will do

• Lead multiple concurrent construction and implementation projects from conceptual development through final construction.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes of work, bills of materials, risks, quality, and costs.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, internal teams, agencies, utilities, property owners, materials, equipment, power, and backhaul delivery.
• Conduct bid walks, preconstruction meetings, site visits, progress meetings, punch walks, inspections, and construction closeout.
• Maintain complete project documentation and communicate technical information through drawings, blueprints, specifications, spreadsheets, and as-builts.
• Provide functional and technical guidance to junior staff while supporting customers and business units.

Requirements

• At least six years of professional construction management, project management, and/or engineering experience, including developing project budgets and schedules.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor's degree in engineering, management, business, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local codes and regulations for wireless communications facilities.
• Experience administering contracts, evaluating work in progress, and directing craft personnel and contractors.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, satisfactory driving record, and successful completion of a defensive driving course.
• Ability to work primarily in Alaska, travel to remote communities by aircraft, drive in remote areas, and operate ATV-style vehicles when necessary.

Nice to have

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Telecommunications experience.
• Logistics, procurement, or other telecommunications industry certifications.

Hiring process
