Shift Operator - SPARC - Third Shift

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site; third shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am

Salary: $30–$41 per hour plus a 15% shift differential, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain plant systems and equipment supporting SPARC operations from the control room and in the field.
• Troubleshoot cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, cryogenic, liquid nitrogen, and electrical distribution systems.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions while following safe operating practices.
• Perform switching, tagging, and Lockout/Tagout activities for maintenance and commissioning.
• Support plant-system testing, commissioning, training, and operational readiness.
• Develop, revise, and optimize operating procedures while adhering to human performance and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 5 years of operations experience in a complex facility such as a power plant, oil and gas facility, or LNG plant.
• Experience with low-voltage or complex electrical environments and large cooling water systems.
• Previous qualification in Lockout/Tagout or a tagging program.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, engineering principles, and facility operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site, including required nights, weekends, and occasional on-call coverage, and to work safely around industrial hazards such as high voltage, cryogenics, heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, and lead.

Nice to have

• Experience in radiological environments or with cryogenic systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
