Senior Infrastructure Architect (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role requiring residence within commuting distance of the Boston, MA or Seattle, WA offices and in-office work at least 3 days per week.

Base salary: $165,000–$206,000 per year, depending on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Design cloud and on-premise infrastructure and create reusable blueprints for application teams.
• Define Infrastructure as Code strategy, tooling standards, and operating practices across IT.
• Partner with Network Engineering, Product Software, Product Hardware, Security, and IT stakeholders on architecture decisions.
• Define installation procedures, test infrastructure resiliency, and prepare services for transition to Global Operations.
• Automate development and release processes and identify infrastructure and network engineering improvements.
• Serve as an escalation point for production incidents, provide architectural guidance, and mentor operations and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with data center, cloud, web, and data service technologies, including AWS.
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, Windows, and Akamai.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Python or an equivalent scripting or development language.
• Git, Jenkins, CI/CD workflows, databases, and SQL.
• Snowflake, Vagrant, Pulumi, Azure, Jira, or Agile experience.
