AWS Architect

Location: Remote within the United States. Access from foreign locations and foreign IP addresses is restricted, and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

Salary: $119,323–$202,850 per year

What you will do

• Architect secure AWS cloud environments, including enterprise landing zones, identity integration, hybrid connectivity, and high-availability designs.
• Build a repeatable factory model for application modernization, including standards, patterns, reference architectures, and governance controls.
• Assess application portfolios, data architectures, dependencies, integration patterns, and system-of-record strategies to recommend modernization paths and sequencing.
• Define and govern shared cloud services covering identity, networking, security, CI/CD, observability, and data integration.
• Lead architecture reviews and provide portfolio-level technical direction across concurrent modernization initiatives.
• Integrate infrastructure-as-code, policy enforcement, automated security validation, monitoring, FinOps, scalability, performance, availability, and disaster recovery practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• 10+ years of experience architecting and leading enterprise cloud solutions in complex, multi-team environments.
• 8+ years across multiple technical domains, including network infrastructure, application development, data platforms, or low-code/no-code technologies.
• 5+ years designing secure AWS environments in regulated enterprises requiring formal security authorization and continuous compliance oversight.
• 5+ years implementing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD security validation, cloud governance, and continuous monitoring; plus 3+ years in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience aligning cloud architectures with security and compliance control frameworks.
• Experience designing enterprise landing zones and policy enforcement models.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps strategies.
