Senior Manager, Account Solutions Architecture (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California or Bellevue, Washington, United States

Salary: $207,000–$275,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a regional team of Solutions Architects, including hiring, onboarding, ramp planning, and performance management.
• Remain hands-on with customer architecture reviews, deployment escalations, and root-cause analysis across Kubernetes, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own regional account coverage, assignments, on-call processes, escalation paths, and response expectations across time zones.
• Partner with Sales Engineering, Field Engineering, Support, Product, and Engineering on technical validation, deployment planning, adoption, and roadmap priorities.
• Convert recurring customer issues into reference architectures, Terraform and Helm assets, runbooks, automation, and enablement content.
• Deliver and coach the team on technical workshops, demonstrations, and customer enablement sessions.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing a customer-facing technical team with direct hiring and performance-management responsibility; 5+ years for Senior Manager candidates.
• 7+ years of hands-on infrastructure, platform, or SRE experience; 10+ years for Senior Manager candidates.
• Production experience diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues in customer-owned environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, networking fundamentals, cloud-managed services, and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Proficiency with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure, strong Linux/Unix command-line experience, and working proficiency in Python.
• Experience supporting both multi-tenant SaaS and customer-managed or on-premises deployments, including technical workshops, demos, or enablement sessions.

Nice to have

• Deep Kubernetes design experience, including Operators and CRDs.
• Experience building regional technical teams with defined coverage, on-call, and ramp processes.
• Familiarity with data engineering and MLOps tools such as Ray, Kubeflow, Slurm, Airflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure, distributed training, large-scale distributed systems, or air-gapped and regulated deployments.
