Senior CNC Machinist - C Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States. C Shift runs Friday–Sunday, 5:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts may be required.

Base pay range: $35–$50 USD per hour. Level and base salary are determined case by case based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathe and mill machines to produce flight-ready hardware.
• Read and translate engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Work with CNC programmers to maintain required tolerances.
• Provide feedback on work instructions and suggest improvements to batch sizes, setups, and tool selection.
• Reduce non-conformances identified by quality or engineering teams.
• Track calibration and maintenance for equipment and tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC lathe and mill operation experience for the CNC Machinist III level, or 8+ years for the Senior level.
• Experience with dual-spindle, live-tooling lathes and 5th-axis turning mills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• For work in the United States, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required ITAR authorizations.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8+ hour shift, work at elevated heights and in confined or awkward spaces, and perform repetitive physical motions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds while working around noise, temperature variations, and moving machinery.

Nice to have

• CNC programming experience, including NX Programming or manual programming.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience and 5-axis CNC setup experience.
• Experience with DMG Mori DMU 50, 85, 125, and NLX 2500–4000 machines.
• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Celos controls or bar feeders.
