Epic Application Analyst (Epic Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; periodic travel of up to 25% and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required.

Salary: $92,400–$159,450 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Develop and implement long-term best-practice Epic strategies across revenue cycle operations and IT.
• Design workflows, work queue strategies, reporting solutions, and process improvements with revenue cycle leaders.
• Lead Epic issues and change requests, prepare decision documents and SBARDs, and support system build through IT change control.
• Improve revenue cycle performance across denial reduction, DNFB/CFB, late charges, registration, scheduling, authorization capture, coding accuracy, and productivity.
• Monitor KPIs, conduct account-level reviews and audits, maintain project plans and status reports, and recommend workflow enhancements.
• Support client meetings, new-business assessments, sales materials, training development, and Epic education.

Requirements

• Current Epic Administrator Certification in a revenue cycle-focused module is required.
• At least 3 years of Epic build experience in revenue cycle functions, preferably billing and patient access.
• Strong implementation experience and working knowledge of hospital or ambulatory revenue cycle operations.
• Working understanding of interfaces and interface messages, system build, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; ability to maintain Epic certifications and complete release updates.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work onsite at client or company locations when business needs require.

Nice to have

• Experience with other revenue cycle-focused Epic applications.
• Four-year or bachelor’s degree.
• Interest in applying AI and emerging technology to improve processes and patient and client experiences.
