Senior Business Systems Analyst (Workday)

Location: New York City office; hybrid work

Salary: $136,500–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Support cross-functional Workday projects across Core HCM, benefits, advanced compensation, talent, and performance.
• Review, test, and implement Workday upgrades, enhancements, and small to medium system projects.
• Gather business process requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Identify process issues, recommend improvements, and use automation to streamline workflows.
• Develop and manage audit reports to maintain data integrity, compliance, and consistency between systems.
• Train system users and People Team stakeholders on new and enhanced functionality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar technical role.
• Hands-on Workday configuration experience and in-depth knowledge of HR systems, including HRIS, payroll, ATS, and LMS platforms.
• Knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
• Customer-centric approach, strong sense of urgency, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Self-directed attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and accurate, confidential data handling.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday integrations and data exchange involving payroll providers, benefit carriers, or time collection systems.
