Senior Integration & Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, California, United States

Salary: $125,000–$200,000 annually

hirify.global is building satellite infrastructure in Low Earth Orbit for space-based energy transmission, on-orbit computing, and secure high-bandwidth optical data.

What you will do

• Own system-level integration and testing of hardware and avionics systems from prototype through flight readiness.
• Design, build, and maintain test infrastructure, including racks, fixtures, harnesses, tooling, and data acquisition systems.
• Develop automated and manual board- and system-level validation procedures using Python or similar scripting tools.
• Lead electrical-system bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and failure investigations.
• Execute thermal, vibration, DVE, and other environmental and functional tests.
• Support flight qualification, launch readiness, payload integration checkouts, pre-flight verification, and real-time anomaly resolution.

Requirements

• Experience integrating, testing, or validating hardware systems.
• Hands-on experience with test automation, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.
• Experience building test setups with fixtures, harnesses, racks, and data acquisition systems.
• Background in avionics board-level testing and debugging, including power, signal integrity, and communications.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and interface control documents.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF, sensors, LiDAR, or avionics systems.
• Experience supporting complex hardware or engineering programs.
• Experience in aerospace, space, or other frontier technology industries.
• Background in thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC testing.
• Experience with procurement workflow automation, high-value spend portfolios, or vendor-owned inventory agreements.
