What you will do

• Install, repair, and maintain chillers, steam turbines, HP boilers, valves, and distribution systems.
• Perform chemical analysis on boiler water and execute precision alignment and measurements.
• Monitor equipment, identify problem areas, and develop resolution plans for failures.
• Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on pumps, turbines, and piping systems.
• Manage Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and ensure overall plant cleanliness and safety.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees and plan daily operational activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipe fitting and steam plant maintenance (boilers, turbines, pumps, valves).
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Kansas City, MO.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for respirator use.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver approximately 100 pounds.

Nice to have

• Navy nuclear experience.
• Technical trade school training.
• Ability to weld and pass a site welding exam.
• Experience with chiller and chilled water systems.
• Proficiency with rigging, hoisting, cutting, and brazing.
