What you will do
- Install, repair, and maintain chillers, steam turbines, HP boilers, valves, and distribution systems.
- Perform chemical analysis on boiler water and execute precision alignment and measurements.
- Monitor equipment, identify problem areas, and develop resolution plans for failures.
- Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on pumps, turbines, and piping systems.
- Manage Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and ensure overall plant cleanliness and safety.
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees and plan daily operational activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pipe fitting and steam plant maintenance (boilers, turbines, pumps, valves).
- Must be located in or able to work onsite in Kansas City, MO.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for respirator use.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver approximately 100 pounds.
Nice to have
- Navy nuclear experience.
- Technical trade school training.
- Ability to weld and pass a site welding exam.
- Experience with chiller and chilled water systems.
- Proficiency with rigging, hoisting, cutting, and brazing.
