What you will do

  • Support avionics hardware from design release through assembly, testing, integration, and final delivery.
  • Provide design feedback on manufacturability, assembly, testing, integration, and transport.
  • Own build roadmaps, coordinate hardware and tooling deliveries, and remove blockers.
  • Develop and release build CONOPS, work instructions, standard processes, and procedures.
  • Support first article builds and provide hands-on floor support during manufacturing and testing.
  • Drive make-versus-buy decisions and continuous improvement across tooling, ERP/MES workflows, and factory standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on hardware-building experience in a manufacturing or integration environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace assembly best practices and experience writing build and test procedures.
  • Exposure to electrical harness design and mechanical routing in 3D CAD software.
  • Proficiency in CAD, basic design or test analysis, and first-principles hand calculations.
  • Must work hands-on in an on-site manufacturing and test environment daily and be eligible to access U.S.-controlled export information as a U.S. person or through deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical mechanical hardware.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience improving work instructions, travelers, and build documentation.
  • Familiarity with PLM/MES systems and production change control in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling, fixtures, or assembly aids.
