Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Location: San Francisco, CA or remote within the United States

Total compensation: $154,400–$206,667 annually, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and proxy statements.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements, earnings-per-share calculations, disclosure checklists, and related GAAP analyses.
• Manage quarterly reporting, external auditor requests, and review activities through completion.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for stock-based compensation and equity transactions.
• Research and document complex technical accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP.
• Improve financial reporting, equity accounting, and internal control processes through automation and AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred or required as stated in the qualifications.
• 6–8 years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience in technology or public accounting.
• Experience with stock-based compensation under ASC 718 in a publicly traded company.
• Experience with E*TRADE Equity Edge Online; proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
• Strong analytical, written communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to support recurring reporting deadlines and longer-term technical accounting projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Clearwater, or additional E*TRADE Equity Edge Online functionality.
• Experience with automation or AI tools such as Claude, Alteryx, Domo, or Google Apps Script.
