Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, resilient web applications using TypeScript with Node.js and/or React.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver performant product features.
• Review and challenge technical decisions while improving product architecture and design.
• Enhance and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex usage scenarios and analyze performance issues.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Node.js.
• Understanding of web application architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration and delivery, and test-driven development.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with distributed systems.

Hiring process

• Initial interview with the People & Culture team.
• Technical interview with engineers, followed by a take-home task and task review.
• Final interview with the VP of Engineering and/or Engineering Manager, including discussion of responsible AI-tool usage.
