TL;DR

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States. Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m.; flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts may be required. The role involves standing and walking for 8+ hours, working at heights and in confined spaces, and handling materials up to 25 lbs. U.S. work authorization or eligibility for the required ITAR authorizations is required for candidates working in U.S. offices.

Base pay range: $25–$40 USD per hour, depending on level, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

  • Weld and fabricate fluid systems and sub-assembly components for Rutherford and Archimedes rocket engines.
  • Develop orbital tube welding schedules for tubing from 1/4 to 6 inches.
  • Perform tube bending, flaring, fit-up, and preparation according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Operate and maintain orbital tube welding equipment such as Orbitalum and AMI systems.
  • Work across production floors, equipment areas, and field locations while maintaining precision and safety.

Requirements

  • For Welder II: 2+ years of orbital tube welding experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry.
  • For Welder III: 5+ years of orbital tube welding experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry.
  • Experience with tubing sizes from 1/4 to 6 inches.
  • For Welder III: experience with orbital tube welding machines or automated fabrication equipment.
  • For Welder III: knowledge of non-destructive examination processes for tubing and weld inspection.
  • High school diploma or GED and eligibility to work in the United States under applicable ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of orbital tube welding experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry.
  • Welding or tube fabrication certification.
  • Familiarity with ASME or ISO standards.
  • Strong understanding of non-destructive examination processes.
