TL;DR

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States

Salary: $39.34–$55.07 per hour for Washington applicants; California and Colorado ranges may differ.

What you will do

  • Prepare design layouts and create detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings or Model-Based Definition datasets.
  • Release engineering data using Creo Parametric, Windchill, CAD, and PLM tools.
  • Review engineering drawings and designs against specifications, standards, fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T requirements.
  • Support mechanical layout and detail design for structural and thermal hardware on lunar landers.
  • Manage large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
  • Balance cost, schedule, performance, manufacturing, and material-selection requirements with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace development or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency with Creo Parametric, Windchill, drawing generation, and engineering data release processes.
  • Experience with standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis under ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience designing active or passive thermal hardware such as tubing, radiators, coldplates, pump assemblies, MLI blankets, or TPS.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 8 or more years of proven experience.
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition, material compatibility, metallic manufacturing techniques, and design for manufacturability.
