Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Food Fulfillment)

Location: Hanover, Maryland, United States; onsite at a food-based fulfillment center; 2nd shift

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the Production Manager in managing daily fulfillment-center operations.
• Maintain a safety-first culture and meet environmental, health, quality, and safety targets under OSHA, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, and FDA standards.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Allocate labor and equipment, coordinate workflows across departments, and resolve operational issues.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and train frontline operations staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct safety training and inspections and coordinate additional training with HR and Learning teams.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production, inventory management, receiving, preparation, or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants and strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Experience training employees on new processes or procedural updates.
• Strong team management, communication, conflict-resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, TPM, or another relevant certification.
• Experience conducting root-cause analysis investigations.
