Manager, Propulsion Test Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Mojave Test facility at Mojave Air & Space Port, United States. Occasional travel to partner locations may be required.

Salary: $154,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary propulsion test engineering team.
• Plan and oversee test operations across multiple sites, including operator training and safe execution.
• Manage schedules, resources, priorities, and operational metrics to meet program milestones.
• Drive root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement in safety, reliability, efficiency, and test quality.
• Coordinate with test equipment, infrastructure, and data systems teams to support current and future testing.
• Maintain high technical, operational, and professional standards across testing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or a related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of experience in development or production test engineering.
• Experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Understanding of fluid systems, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.
• Ability to manage complex test operations safely and effectively.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise eligible to obtain an export license under U.S. export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or management.
• 7+ years of experience in rocket, propulsion, or aerospace test engineering.
• Familiarity with test automation, data systems, and safety management.
