TL;DR
Manager Systems, Integration, and Test (Aerospace) (satellite vehicles): Leading systems integration and test engineering across the full lifecycle of satellite development with an accent on vehicle readiness, technical roadmaps, and milestone delivery. Focus on developing integration and test campaigns, evaluating vehicle changes, and executing hands-on testing across electronics, propulsion, software, and other systems.

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Candidates must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S. and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Salary: $170,000–$198,000 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Mentor and manage systems, integration, and test engineers, including hiring and performance management.
  • Own the engineering development roadmap supporting increasing flight cadence.
  • Lead vehicle integration and test campaigns to establish flight readiness.
  • Manage technical outcomes and milestone schedules for on-time vehicle delivery.
  • Develop frameworks for evaluating vehicle change impacts and implementing vehicle-level changes.
  • Stay hands-on with vehicle integration and testing on the production floor when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field, plus 5+ years of experience in systems, integration, and/or test engineering.
  • Experience mentoring team members and providing feedback that supports professional and technical growth.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, first-principles thinking, and technical breadth across structures, electronics, propulsion, and software.
  • Proven experience working on complex technical programs, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.
  • Technical depth in electronics, fluid propulsion, and/or systems engineering.
  • U.S. work authorization and U.S. person status are required for access to export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

  • Project management experience across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and communicating technical project roadmaps.
  • Experience with C++ or Python.
  • Experience with aerospace hardware development practices, including qualification testing, space-environment design, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Experience with Unigraphics NX or similar CAD software.
