Engine Test Engineering Manager (Aerospace): Building and leading engine test programs from assembled hardware through first fire and successive development campaigns with an accent on instrumentation, procedures, safety, and acceptance criteria. Focus on designing test operations from a blank sheet, qualifying control-room personnel, and making high-stakes safety and schedule decisions for gas turbine and supersonic turbofan development.

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States. The role is subject to U.S. ITAR and EAR eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $153,000–$205,000 per year, plus potential long-term incentives, equity, flexible PTO, and other benefits.

Develops the Superpower industrial gas turbine and Symphony supersonic turbofan, with the Superpower program supporting Symphony and Overture development.

What you will do

  • Architect engine test programs covering instrumentation, procedures, acceptance criteria, and standards.
  • Build, hire, train, and lead the engine test organization.
  • Build a new control room and create qualification curricula for live testing personnel.
  • Run three consecutive engine development campaigns from first fire through revenue-generating turbine and aero-engine testing.
  • Own readiness gates, safety processes, testing standards, and team qualifications.
  • Maintain safety and quality while making decisions under schedule pressure.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in testing.
  • Experience leading large-scale testing with large teams on expensive hardware under significant schedule pressure.
  • Experience authoring a major test campaign and creating test procedures.
  • Direct management experience with medium-sized or large teams and accountability for performance.
  • Graduation from a recognized professional test curriculum, such as Air Force, Navy, National Test Pilot School, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR and EAR.
