Program Experience Manager

Location: Long Island City, United States; full-time work from the office with some work-from-home flexibility and a flexible hybrid schedule.

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the program experience calendar, including Demo Days, launch events, interview days, potlucks, and other community events.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers, mentors, and fireside speakers while building a reliable engagement and retention pipeline.
• Set up and manage quarterly Capstone projects with volunteers and staff, ensuring high-quality project selections.
• Build relationships that create pathways to deeper engagement, including donor and employer partnerships.
• Gather feedback from Builders, staff, and volunteers and use it to improve program quality.
• Manage event logistics, communications, coordination, and follow-through.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in program management, community management, event operations, or volunteer management.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent events and relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with volunteers, employers, and Builders.
• Experience recruiting, managing, or engaging volunteers or a similar stakeholder community.
• Track record of translating engagement into measurable outcomes such as retention, conversion, or satisfaction.
• Experience with or interest in working directly with adults from underserved communities and appreciation for diversity.
