Senior Software Engineer, Back-End (Vault)

Location: US Remote - California. Candidates within a 1-hour commuting distance of the office may be expected to work onsite most of the time. Remote candidates may be asked to attend an onsite interview during the final hiring stages.

Salary: $140,971-$228,870 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable cloud-based systems on AWS for core collectibles platforms.
• Develop backend services and APIs for the hirify.global Vault.
• Own technical architecture and end-to-end feature delivery from design through deployment.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, security, and asset data integrity across existing systems.
• Use modern AI tools and techniques to accelerate development and engineering productivity.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship across engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building web applications, APIs, and distributed systems at scale.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong Java experience is preferred; familiarity with C# is a plus.
• Practical use of modern AI development tools such as Claude Code CLI or Codex.
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing, security, and observability.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams with Product, Design, TPM, and Business partners.
