Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Engineering (AI Analytics)

Salary: $183,000–$276,000 annual total target cash for the San Francisco Bay Area

What you will do

• Serve as the engineering front line for key enterprise customer accounts using the Unthread Slack aggregation and workflow layer.
• Investigate technical questions by reading code, tracing behavior, inspecting production signals, and explaining findings clearly.
• Diagnose and fix bugs, validate outcomes with customers, and implement product or platform features when appropriate.
• Coordinate urgent technical responses in customer Slack channels while retaining ownership through resolution.
• Represent engineering in customer office hours and recurring account meetings, partnering with customer-facing and product teams.
• Identify recurring issues and improve tooling, documentation, observability, APIs, product surfaces, and the operating model of the new team.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience and the ability to contribute production-quality code in a large, evolving codebase.
• Generalist engineering experience with depth in backend systems, distributed systems, infrastructure, data systems, or developer platforms.
• Strong debugging skills, including reproducing imprecise reports, identifying root causes, and implementing robust fixes.
• Experience reasoning about production behavior using logs, traces, metrics, and code.
• Clear, empathetic communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, plus sound judgment during urgent situations.
• High ownership, low ego, and comfort working across team and system boundaries.
