Lab Software Automation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Define measurement strategies, develop measurement routines, and automate software tasks for lab bringup and operations.
• Connect R&D systems engineering, bringup teams, and operations to support dependable, on-time photonic NPU deliveries.
• Lead data-gathering activities and manage long-term database storage for R&D insights.
• Establish software protocols, best practices, and documentation for laboratory tasks.
• Develop and advise on internal lab software tools while investigating complex measurement and hardware bringup issues.
• Expand automation systems toward backend operational databases and reusable R&D software tools.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on proficiency in Python.
• Strong interest or experience in lab automation, IT automation, or signal processing.
• Familiarity with modern software workflows such as GitHub Flow, plus interest or experience with databases and data visualization tools.
• Analytical, solution-oriented approach with strong ownership and self-leadership.
• Open to promising entry-level candidates and experienced specialists or experts.

Nice to have

• Prior laboratory experience.
• Experience with lab automation frameworks such as LabVIEW or similar tools.
