Senior Software Engineer (Platform/Core) (AI)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; relocation to NYC supported

Salary: $240,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities, including up to a 40% performance bonus.

What you will do

• Build and scale the core platform powering financial workflows for CPG brands.
• Develop systems that ingest and process financial and operational data from multiple sources and retailer systems.
• Build backend services and APIs for analytics, forecasting, demand planning, and automation.
• Implement AI-powered workflows for invoice, deduction, and retailer report processing and financial data extraction.
• Design internal tools and product features that turn complex financial workflows into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customers to ship reliable solutions and improve platform performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering and systems design skills.
• Experience building production systems that handle large datasets or complex workflows.
• Strong product instincts and ability to work across engineering and product.
• Ability to work on-site in New York, NY or relocate there.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-powered systems.
• Experience with data pipelines or analytics infrastructure.
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Interest in early-stage startups and high-ownership roles.
• Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
