Operations Supervisor (Food Fulfillment)

Location: Northlake, Illinois, United States; onsite work in a food-based fulfillment center

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the Production Manager with day-to-day fulfillment center operations and operational goal achievement.
• Monitor team performance against KPIs and implement productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain safety, environmental, health, quality, and food-safety standards across the facility.
• Allocate manpower and equipment, coordinate workflows across departments, and address operational issues.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and train frontline operations staff while building accountability and teamwork.
• Conduct safety training and inspections and coordinate training programs with HR and Learning teams.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production, inventory management, receiving, preparation, or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with plant operating regulations and safety and quality standards, including OSHA, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, and FDA requirements.
• Strong team leadership, people management, communication, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, delegate effectively, troubleshoot equipment, and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, TPM, or another relevant certification.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations.
