What you will do

• Lead technical engagement for strategic pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts in partnership with Strategic Account Executives.
• Identify high-value quantum computing applications across pharmaceutical and life sciences R&D workflows.
• Maintain an industry-relevant use-case catalogue and create customer-facing technical and proposal materials.
• Define project scopes with customers and internal research teams, aligning delivery with technical roadmaps and near-term quantum capabilities.
• Provide customer and market feedback to research leaders to guide research priorities.
• At Director level, lead and develop the Solutions Architecture team, oversee technical quality and prioritization, and establish operating practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computational life sciences, physics, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial research programs within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or an individual granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.
• At Director level, experience leading technical teams or managing direct reports in a customer-facing or applied research environment.
• Strong customer relationship management, stakeholder influence, executive communication, and ability to translate business objectives into technical execution.

Nice to have

• PhD in life sciences, physics, mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with or exposure to quantum technologies.
• Experience delivering technically complex customer projects and partnering with sales leaders while maintaining independent technical judgment.
