Frontend Member of Technical Staff (MTS)

Location: Palo Alto, United States; on-site

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 estimated base salary per year, plus equity and performance bonus

What you will do

• Build and own core user-facing features across creation, discovery, and play experiences.
• Collaborate with AI and systems engineers to present complex AI-generated content through fast, intuitive interfaces.
• Make product and UX decisions focused on taste, clarity, and consumer-grade polish.
• Optimize frontend performance for tens of millions of users and high-frequency play sessions.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and maintain high code quality standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of frontend development experience, ideally with consumer products.
• Fluency in React and TypeScript with strong opinions about their use.
• Experience building products where user experience quality was central.
• Experience with data-rich or real-time user interfaces, such as feeds, game rendering, or dashboards.
• Ability to work independently from initial idea through shipped product.
• Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebGL, canvas, or game rendering.
• Experience at high-growth consumer platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Roblox, or YouTube.
• Familiarity with recommendation-driven feed interfaces.
