Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: San Jose Office (HQ), New York City Office, and San Francisco Office

Salary: $200K–$250K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build data visualization interfaces, workflow management UIs, and real-time dashboards.
• Design and maintain scalable component libraries and consistent design systems.
• Implement complex client-side state management, optimistic updates, and real-time synchronization.
• Create intuitive interfaces for AI model interactions, data pipeline management, and enterprise integrations.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks while balancing speed and maintainability.
• Own UI and architectural decisions and deliver features quickly in a changing startup environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of frontend development experience with advanced patterns, complex state management, performance optimization, and client/server-side separation.
• Expertise in TypeScript, including complex generics, utility types, and strict typing in production applications.
• Strong experience with the modern React ecosystem, including SSR, TanStack Start, Next.js, data fetching, and global state management libraries.
• Experience developing enterprise UIs with component libraries, design systems, and accessibility standards.
• Strong performance optimization skills, including memoization, render optimization, and virtualization.
• Ability to solve problems independently and execute quickly in agile, fast-paced startup teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards.
• Experience with WebSocket integration, live updates, and optimistic UI patterns.
• Experience with enterprise authentication, including SSO, role-based access control, and session management.
• Experience integrating AI or ML models into production applications.
• Experience building developer-facing tools such as code editor integrations, syntax highlighting, and diff viewers.
