Staff Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, with locations listed in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 annually, with possible variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define the core architecture and development patterns for scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Build reusable component libraries, frontend tooling, and platform infrastructure.
• Design and deliver customer-facing features that integrate AI capabilities into complex security workflows.
• Improve clarity, usability, reliability, and performance when presenting complex security data.
• Mentor frontend engineers and provide technical direction for the growing team.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, design detail, and sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating at Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal Frontend Engineer level.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web application architecture.
• Strong experience with frontend infrastructure, including component libraries, build systems, state management, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work autonomously and own projects end to end.
• Strong collaboration, communication, attention to detail, and engineering craftsmanship.
