Staff Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, on-site

Salary: $200,000–$330,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and build the core frontend platform using React, Vite, and TanStack.
• Design and implement high-performance interfaces for complex, data-intensive legal workflows.
• Prototype and iterate on user-facing features with product and legal experts.
• Establish a maintainable frontend codebase, component library, and design system.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and seamless user experiences.
• Mentor engineers and help recruit the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Strong user empathy, attention to detail, and commitment to polished products.
• Experience creating and scaling systems from the ground up and owning projects through delivery.
• Effective collaboration with product, design, backend engineering, and legal experts.
• Curiosity and ability to solve complex UI/UX challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience building interfaces for complex AI-powered applications or agentic systems.
• Strong design sense and experience with modern design tools such as Figma.
• Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage startup.
• Familiarity with Python and the backend stack.
