Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Columbus, Ohio; Pontiac and Ann Arbor, Michigan; Shelby, Michigan; Maywood, Illinois; Silver Spring, Maryland; and Rockford, Michigan. Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Schedule complex facility-based ancillary and diagnostic testing across multiple facilities and states.
• Apply differing scheduling protocols across multiple facilities and manage complex testing events, associated studies, and study-specific instructions.
• Complete patient pre-registration and electronically verify insurance eligibility.
• Accurately identify and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Coordinate with service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
• Initiate the patient experience and billing process for hospital services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to five years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, patient access, or a related area; five-plus years of acute-care scheduling experience is required for complex diagnostic scheduling.
• Comprehensive knowledge of multiple scheduling systems and complex diagnostic testing appointment processes.
• Proficiency with patient registration, patient accounting, and related software systems.
• National HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification required within one year of hire.
