DME & Telehealth Insurance Verification Specialist – Parachute Health

Location: Remote; Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM in Needham Heights, MA (EST)

What you will do

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for DME and telehealth therapy services before enrollment.
• Contact insurance carriers through phone, portals, or EDI to confirm coverage, deductibles, copays, and authorization requirements.
• Document verification results accurately in CRM and EMR/EHR systems.
• Coordinate with billing and clinical teams to identify coverage gaps and prior authorization needs.
• Communicate eligibility findings clearly to patients and internal stakeholders.
• Prevent denials by identifying eligibility issues before claims submission.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare administration.
• Basic understanding of EOB, COB, deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and prior authorization.
• Strong experience with Parachute Health.
• Working knowledge of HubSpot, including tickets, pipelines, follow-ups, and documentation.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and payer portals, with strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

• Experience with telehealth billing or digital health companies.
• Experience processing and managing healthcare or DME orders.
