Director of Enterprise Simulation & Synthesis

Location: Full-time onsite role based at the headquarters in Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, lead, and grow the Simulation & Synthesis organization, including hiring, mentoring, onboarding, and performance development.
• Establish enterprise simulation standards, governance, model credibility, verification and validation, uncertainty management, traceability, and configuration management.
• Develop scalable analysis workflows, infrastructure, automation, and data governance practices for reproducible engineering analysis.
• Lead system-level synthesis, trade studies, coupled-effects analysis, budgets, margins, and decision-support materials for program leadership.
• Integrate simulation and testing through test planning, correlation strategies, post-test model updates, and operational profile development.
• Collaborate with program leadership, systems engineering, peer engineering departments, national laboratories, universities, and industry partners.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related technical field; an MS or PhD is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in modeling, simulation, and technical leadership within complex engineered systems.
• Experience building high-performing technical teams and establishing scalable engineering methods, tools, and processes.
• Expertise in model credibility, assumptions management, uncertainty quantification, and engineering decision risk assessment.
• Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering and program teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident with a current Green Card, or lawfully admitted to the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice to have

• Experience owning enterprise-level simulation tools, workflows, and standards across multiple technical domains.
• Background in structural analysis, loads and dynamics, vibroacoustics, multi-physics modeling, and model-to-test correlation.
• Experience with simulation data pedigree and governance, external technical reviews, publications, invited talks, or applied physics communities.
