Forward-Deployed Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own proof-of-concept outcomes for enterprise customers from technical discovery through deployment.
• Lead pre-sales technical deep dives, product demonstrations, and architecture discussions.
• Troubleshoot integrations across identity, security, networking, and other customer environments.
• Build custom configurations and one-off solutions when standard implementation paths are insufficient.
• Run technical onboarding sessions and adoption workshops.
• Act as the technical expert during sales cycles and handle complex questions from senior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or solutions engineering, with a computer science background.
• Technical depth in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or consulting, including the ability to independently write and debug production code.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, including architecture, memory, and tool design.
• Depth in at least one relevant area: identity and authentication, MCP, agent frameworks, security, deployment, networking, or observability.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical executives and take ownership of customer outcomes.

Nice to have

• Previous solutions, pre-sales, or forward-deployed experience at a high-growth B2B startup.
• Open-source contributions or published content related to agents, identity, or policy.
