What you will do
- Design and build backend and full-stack systems for AI agents and healthcare automations.
- Set technical direction for projects and product areas, including ambiguous requirements.
- Build features for automation creation, workflow pathways, testing, editing, and production run reporting.
- Improve runtime reliability through run-state management, queues, idempotency, error classification, alerts, and dashboards.
- Own critical services from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Mentor teammates and improve engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience building and owning backend systems deployed in production.
- Strong systems design skills across distributed systems, databases, APIs, queues, asynchronous workflows, and observability.
- Ability to turn ambiguous product requirements into clear technical plans.
- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows and willingness to experiment with new approaches.
- Strong ownership, execution, prioritization, iteration, and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building platform, infrastructure, or workflow systems at scale.
- Experience building agentic products or agent-based workflows.
- Experience integrating LLMs or AI models into production backend systems.
- Background in event-driven architectures, workflow engines, observability, or runtime reliability.
- Experience in healthcare operations or revenue cycle management.
