Product Structure Management | Configuration Management (Aerospace)

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage detailed engineering, manufacturing, as-built, as-delivered, and in-service bills of material.
• Coordinate, track, and status BOM reviews and approvals for product structure changes.
• Manipulate BOM attributes to create configurations for engineering releases, material planning, flight testing, and customer deliveries.
• Author and maintain procedures for BOM management, release, baselining, and traceability.
• Maintain product structure configuration and effectivity in PLM, ERP, and database environments.
• Collaborate with certification, systems, design engineering, and other aircraft stakeholders to preserve configuration traceability and auditability.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of configuration management processes and familiarity with SAE-649.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or another regulated design and manufacturing industry.
• BS in a relevant engineering or quality discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with PLM and ERP software such as 3Dx, Teamcenter, Plex, or SAP, plus requirements, test, and change management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or JIRA.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA/ENOVIA, and strong MS Excel skills for product structure analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, self-motivation, and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with 3D digital thread and model-based definition environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to suggest solutions, adjust priorities, and move work forward independently.
