Senior Build Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States. Applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons.

Annual salary: $140,000–$180,000 USD

What you will do

• Own prototyping and first builds of new hardware designs.
• Develop products and manufacturing processes with Design and Test Engineering teams.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable at production facilities and implement design-for-manufacturing feedback.
• Manage tooling configurations, drawing revisions, BOM structures, and part configurations under aerospace standards and internal controls.
• Support manufacturing processes, test tooling, equipment selection, and equipment onboarding.
• Expand manufacturing capabilities, evaluate factory designs, and identify opportunities for product catalog growth.

Requirements

• Curiosity, fast learning, independence, creativity, and comfort with ownership and minimal oversight.
• Ability to contribute across diverse part categories and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting in real-world environments.
• Experience with mechanical design and manufacturing processes, including structural, thermal, material, and production constraints.
• Proficiency in CAD, PLM/PDM systems, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and Materials & Processing.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR.
