Specialist, Vehicle EE System Validation Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Implement and document testing software, vehicle functions, diagnostics, and guided fault-finding procedures on the shop floor.
• Participate in software qualification throughout product development and stabilize software quality through pre-series and series production.
• Analyze commissioning, functional, and diagnostic errors; develop countermeasures and monitor their effectiveness.
• Track defects, identify recurring issues and trends, and drive immediate and long-term resolutions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop methods, systems, assurance processes, and protocols to improve software, function, and diagnostics maturity.
• Support reporting, database-based error evaluation, analysis documentation, and coaching sessions for production employees.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in automotive manufacturing engineering, production planning, or project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Strong understanding of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of C++, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and a holistic understanding of vehicle concepts and functions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, solve problems analytically, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for up to 4 hours.
