Forward Deployed Operations

Location: hirify.global - NYC; hybrid workplace with regular onsite office presence, strong preference for candidates based in New York City or San Francisco, and frequent travel of up to 50%.

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 per year, plus a target annual bonus and equity participation.

What you will do

• Own P&L performance across Shield portfolio companies, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, EBITDA improvement, and accountability for budgets and forecasts.
• Partner with corporate finance and local leadership on financial tracking, target setting, recurring revenue, client retention, utilization, pipeline health, and business performance management.
• Identify and execute growth and efficiency initiatives, including sales enablement, new service lines, cross-sell opportunities, process standardization, and adoption of Shield’s revenue playbook.
• Support new company onboarding and coordinate centralized technology, growth, finance and accounting, and HR resources across the portfolio.
• Drive adoption and integration of Shield’s AI platform and independently build solutions using AI, automation, and low-code/no-code tools.
• Lead relationships, change management, performance standards, and cross-functional initiatives with ShieldCo leaders and established teams.

Requirements

• Experience running P&Ls and managing teams in multi-site or multi-unit environments.
• Strong understanding of P&L drivers, including margin, retention, utilization, and pricing.
• Demonstrated record of measurable revenue growth or operational improvement.
• Ability to build strong relationships, hold people accountable, and maintain high standards.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with ShieldCo general managers and CFOs.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, demonstrate resilience, and take action independently.
• Technologist mindset: ability to learn AI assistants and automation platforms, collaborate with technology teams, and use technology to solve problems firsthand without being an engineer.
• Willingness and ability to maintain regular onsite office presence and travel frequently, up to 50%.
