AI Silicon, Silicon Validation Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is developing semiconductor-based computing technology designed to improve the energy efficiency of AI workloads by mapping neural networks more directly to device physics.

What you will do

• Lead initial power-on and post-silicon bring-up of new silicon prototypes and hardware platforms.
• Characterize and benchmark the functionality, performance, and power consumption of complex mixed-signal circuits.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and other laboratory equipment to debug issues across silicon, boards, and software.
• Design and maintain Python-based automation for characterization throughput, test repeatability, and data reporting.
• Collaborate with system modeling, analog design, and digital design teams on validation requirements, simulation-to-silicon correlation, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in post-silicon bring-up, hardware validation, or silicon characterization.
• Experience operating laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
• Demonstrated ability to characterize and debug mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience with Python programming and laboratory automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating performance tradeoffs of neural network architectures.
• Experience correlating mixed-signal silicon measurements with simulation models.
• Understanding of hardware/software co-design for machine learning inference or training.
• Familiarity with FPGA emulation and RTL simulation for post-silicon bring-up.
• Familiarity with AI automation.
