Specialist, Vehicle Diagnostic Technologies Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel required.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, and integrate electronic vehicle commissioning concepts covering software flashing, ECU configuration, immobilizer systems, and secured diagnostic functions.
• Ensure end-to-end functionality across in-vehicle technologies and required backend systems.
• Lead commissioning planning and coordinate project scope and timeline constraints across pre-series and series phases.
• Represent production concept changes within cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor technical changes across central vehicle diagnostics, security, and vehicle architectures throughout development and launch.
• Coordinate production process integration and develop commissioning documentation using IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in automotive development, manufacturing engineering, or production planning.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Knowledge of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Experience troubleshooting vehicle systems and solving technical problems creatively and strategically.
• Ability to set direction, guide teams, collaborate effectively, and work in a fast-paced development environment.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
