Staff Electrical Test Engineer, Manufacturing (Automotive)

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Develop electrical module test strategies, coverage plans, procedures, equipment, and data-collection systems for new product launches.
• Specify, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for PCBAs, modules, and end products.
• Design and support test fixtures, jigs, and interfaces for repeatable and reliable measurements.
• Coordinate test requirements and standardization with design engineering, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Support production test lines, troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive improvements in yield, cycle time, and cost.
• Implement statistical analysis, reliability monitoring, failure analysis, corrective actions, work instructions, and operator training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience planning and executing EE module test programs in factory environments with appropriate automation and reporting.
• 5+ years of experience delivering electronics solutions from concept through mass production.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics, and RF test methods.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and automated test equipment.
• Proficiency with test automation and programming in Python, LabVIEW, or C/C++.
• Experience with PCB debugging, soldering and rework, failure analysis, MES systems, manufacturing analytics, and reliability or environmental stress testing such as HALT and HASS.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or aerospace.
