Trade Compliance Manager

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $86,900–$119,500, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the trade compliance program and manage import/export operations across the Americas and global suppliers.
• Develop and maintain product export, import, HS/HTS, and country-of-origin classification processes.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, customs requirements, FTAs, PGA programs, denied-party screening, and duty drawback opportunities.
• Advise procurement and sourcing teams on duties, tariffs, cross-border costs, and trade risks.
• Lead internal and external trade audits, identify compliance gaps, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop training, procedures, and SOPs while improving trade systems, processes, and data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or global supply chain roles.
• Experience managing or implementing HS classification programs.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR, customs regulations, trade audits, and international trade requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills; SQL or similar data tools are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with FTAs, duty drawback, tariff mitigation, export licenses, and regulatory filings.
• Familiarity with ERP and trade compliance tools such as SAP GTS, Amber Road, or Integration Point.
• Experience in manufacturing, hardware, or highly regulated industrial environments.
• Experience with systems implementation or process standardization.
