TL;DR
Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer - Manufacturing (Aerospace): Defining and releasing manufacturing process plans, work instructions, and MBoM data for electric aircraft production with an accent on DELMIA process planning, configuration management, and regulated manufacturing. Focus on maintaining 3DExperience data, evaluating product and process change impacts, and coordinating change control and production planning boards.

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite work is expected at hirify.global locations in Burlington and surrounding areas at least 3 days per week, with possible full-time onsite work during production ramp periods.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Define and release process definitions, process plans, work instructions, and related manufacturing data.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to establish and refine MBoM and process-planning master data in 3DExperience and DELMIA.
  • Train, mentor, and support Manufacturing Engineers in maintaining DELMIA process-planning data.
  • Coordinate process-definition data to support certification and production of aircraft and other commercial products.
  • Represent Process Planning in Change Control, Implementation Planning, and Material Resource Planning Boards.
  • Evaluate the impact of product and process-definition changes with Configuration Management.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent education and experience, with a focus on manufacturing engineering and production.
  • Experience defining process plans, MBoMs, work instructions, manufacturing process specifications, and related processes.
  • Experience with production lifecycle software such as Enovia or Aras.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning software such as PLEX or SAP.
  • Commitment to product and process safety through quality in design and manufacturing.
  • Availability for significant onsite work in Vermont is required.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace or another regulated design and manufacturing industry.
  • Experience setting up and using process-planning data in the DELMIA software platform.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause corrective-action investigation experience.
