Director/ VP of Strategic Finance

Location: Hybrid in NYC, United States, with periodic in-office presence and quarterly travel.

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, growth planning, operational decisions, and resource allocation.
• Build long-range financial and operational models for business planning, investment decisions, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
• Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics covering recurring revenue, retention, margins, utilization, and business health.
• Support acquisition analysis, financial diligence, integration planning, strategic investments, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
• Prepare executive-level materials for board meetings, investor discussions, and strategic planning.
• Improve data quality, automate reporting, streamline workflows, and design scalable AI-forward finance processes.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate finance, or a related environment.
• Experience supporting executives in a high-growth and operationally complex organization.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, problem-solving, executive communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with operational and financial systems, reporting tools, and large datasets.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, build structure, collaborate effectively, and execute hands-on.
• Experience in technology, IT services, SaaS, MSP, or PE-backed environments is preferred.
