Director of Finance

Location: Remote, U.S. only. Catered lunches are available at the Pittsburgh office.

Salary: $170,000–$260,000 per year, plus a performance-based bonus and meaningful equity package.

What you will do

• Own the monthly close process and coordinate with external accounting partners to deliver accurate, timely reporting.
• Manage invoicing, customer payments, collections, revenue operations, expense reports, revenue recognition, cash management, and runway forecasting.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, long-range planning, and financial modeling for hiring, GPU infrastructure, product initiatives, and strategic investments.
• Develop KPI dashboards, executive reporting, board materials, investor analyses, and actionable recommendations on growth, efficiency, margins, and capital allocation.
• Evaluate and implement a scalable ERP and finance systems stack while automating workflows and improving reporting accuracy.
• Partner with executive leadership, Accounting, Operations, and other departments on strategic planning, fundraising, diligence, and company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or finance leadership within high-growth technology companies.
• Experience building or scaling finance functions in startup or rapidly growing environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, monthly close, GAAP revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial controls.
• Exceptional financial modeling, scenario planning, operating model, executive communication, and board-level reporting skills.
• Experience implementing ERP or finance technology platforms and partnering directly with executive leadership.
• Ability to combine hands-on individual-contributor execution with strategic functional leadership in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• CPA, MBA, or an advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
• Experience at a Series A or Series B SaaS startup.
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Workday, Adaptive Planning, Rippling, or similar platforms.
• Experience with venture fundraising, investor relations, Board reporting, SaaS metrics, or engineering and infrastructure investment analysis.
